We take horses from private parties. But as a non-profit, we do require a minimum donation of $500 and up to care for each donated horse until a sponsor can be found. This is a tax-deductible donation, which includes the value of the horse. We realize that some people cannot afford their horses or must donate them due to family problems or other situations. Also you must provide a letter stating you are donating this horse, with a description and value of the horse, to Jolene's Horse Rescue. This is for tax purposes.
